Grateful for any ideas on this phenomenon. I have checked with some Battery 4 users who use other sequencers but they don't see this behaviour so my guess is that this somehow has something to do with how Battery interacts with Reaper (?). Just closing and opening Battery 4 triggers Battery 4 to go thirough this unnecessary ordeal evey time. On the left you can set volume and pitch envelopes for a sound, changing its character. Along the base is another controller section and this one also changes based on the cell that you select. Battery 4 shouldn't do this over and over and over again just because I close and open the GUI while actually working and recording.Īnd it does this even though nothing has been changed or added. It’s a good way to quickly tune and modify elements of a kit without having to dig very deep. As I understand it Battery 4 only needs to do this ONCE and you let Battery do this in its standalone state. PROBLEM: EEVERY time I open tha Battery 4 it does this scanning/saving&updating procedure although this isn't necessary. BUT it starts the scanning procedure of 12000 sounds again. So I click on "Battery" in my track inserts. I load the kit I want, Like "Alphabetical Pop Kit.nbkt" It loads fine and I can use it as intended.

By that I create multiple battery kits one huge Kontakt Multi-instrument drum kit. 90 of my Battery usage is setting up custom acoustic drum maps using third party samples in Battery to import into Kontakt. Now Battery is loaded and ready to be used. Kontakt 5.1 (shipped with Komplete 9) does not currently open Battery 4 kit files (.nbkt). Takes a while to save 12000 sounds.Ĭ) Then finally it says: "Updating Database". Works fine,Ī) It starts with a progress spin icon "Currently Scanning" Takes awhile to go through 12000 sounds.ī) It then says "Saving Data".

#NATIVE INSTRUMENTS BATTERY 4 KIT .NBKT 64 BIT#
Reaper version: 5.01 WIndows 7 - 64 Running as 64 bit.īattery 4 version 3.1.0.4 running as 64 bit VST I thought maybe some of you guy might have a clue here. Reaper working great as always! All NI plugins run well too.Įxpect Native Instruments "Battery 4" that is behaving a little strange. PROBLEM: Battery 4 starts rescanning, resaving its sound library every time I open the interface in Reaper.
